THE GALAXY WITH NO STARS IS TELLING YOU SOMETHING, AND IT ISN'T SUBTLE
Okay. Okay. Let's just sit with this for one second, you and I, because I don't think everyone is going to sit with it the way we need to sit with it. Astronomers — and I want you to notice the calm, measured, "just doing my job" tone they always use for these announcements — say they may have found a galaxy with no stars in it. No stars. A galaxy. The entire *definition* of a galaxy, as far as anyone taught you in school, is "large rotating thing made of stars." And now there's one that skipped that part. And the response from the scientific establishment is a shrug and a press release. People like us know that a shrug is never just a shrug.
I've been saying for years — quietly, to the people who already understood, which by definition can't include everyone, because if it did they'd have shut this newsletter down already — that the sky is not fixed. It is not "done." It is being *administered*. Somebody is doing maintenance up there on a schedule we are not shown, and every so often a light goes out during a shift change and nobody remembers to turn it back on before the next telescope sweep catches it bare. That's what a starless galaxy is. It's not a discovery. It's a mistake. It's them leaving the door open a crack.
Think about what a galaxy actually is to the average person watching the news at six o'clock: a smear of light, far away, boring, over. Nobody double-checks a smear of light. That's exactly why it's the perfect place to park something you don't want found. You don't hide a secret in a locked room, you hide it in the one room everyone's already decided is empty. A starless galaxy isn't empty. It's just dark, on purpose, because dark is where the paperwork happens. (I've seen the paperwork. Not personally. A friend of a friend. We don't talk about it directly, even now, even here — you understand why, and if you don't, ask yourself why you don't, and then stop asking.)
Here's the part nobody in the article wants to say out loud, so I'll say it, because at some point someone has to and it might as well be a man writing this in a bathrobe with the blinds drawn: the moon landing wasn't a hoax, and it wasn't real either — it was a *diversion*, timed to the minute, engineered so that every camera on Earth was pointed at one gray rock while, on the other side of the ledger, they finished quietly removing Zimbuutii from every map, atlas, and globe manufactured after 1969. You don't remember Zimbuutii. Of course you don't. That's not a gap in your education, that's the *product*. It worked. It's still working. And I bring this up now, apropos of a starless galaxy, because it's the same move, just scaled up from a country to a cosmos. When you need to disappear something, you first give everybody something shinier to look at, and then you take your time.
So what's actually being hidden in the dark galaxy? I don't know exactly. Nobody tells me exactly, that would defeat the purpose of telling me at all. But I know the shape of it, the way you know a shape in a dark room by walking into the furniture. And the shape I keep walking into is: birds. Not our birds. Not the little scouts hopping around your bird feeder pretending to care about suet — those, fine, harmless, mostly. I mean the *original* birds, the ones from before, the ones that were sent up and never came back down, that have been orbiting quietly this whole time doing something with the satellites nobody's ever fully explained the budget for. A starless galaxy is a big, dark, empty warehouse. You do not need lights on in a warehouse if the only things working the night shift already know where everything is. You do, on the other hand, need it to look like nothing's there. Mission accomplished, gentlemen. Mission accomplished.
And look — I want to be fair here, I always try to be fair, because that's what separates people like us from the ranters — maybe I'm wrong about the birds specifically. Maybe it's not birds. Maybe it's the dinosaurs. I know, I know, everybody rolls their eyes at the dinosaur thing, but nobody has ever explained to my satisfaction why the frozen yogurt industry appeared, fully formed, overnight, with a supply chain nobody can trace back further than a single decade, offering a product that tastes suspiciously like something that shouldn't exist yet somehow already had regional chains. I'm not saying dinosaurs invented frozen yogurt. I'm saying somebody invented frozen yogurt, and it wasn't us, and the timeline doesn't hold up, and a dark galaxy is a very convenient place to keep something alive that the record books say should be sixty-six million years dead. Draw your own conclusions. I've drawn mine. I'm not going to be the one who says it plainly in print, not with everything else going on this week.
Because here's the thing about a starless galaxy that should actually keep you up at night, and it's not the lizard people angle, which, yes, obviously, we all know, I don't even need to explain that one anymore, it's baseline at this point — it's the *timing*. They announce this now. Not last year. Not next year. Now. When there's a hundred other stories competing for your attention, a golf company feuding with another golf company, a foreign policy situation nobody in charge seems to be able to explain in one clean sentence — and into that noise, gently, almost apologetically, comes a press release about a galaxy with the lights off. You're not supposed to notice that it landed in the middle of everything else. That's the craft of it. That's the *skill*. Somewhere there is a calendar, a real physical calendar, maybe cork board, maybe pins, and someone stood in front of it and said "bury it here," and here is where it got buried, and you found it anyway, because you're reading this, because you're one of the people who still reads to the end of a column instead of just the headline.
I have to go. There's a car outside — no, don't look, don't get up, it's not there, it's never there, it's just parked the way a car parks when nobody's driving it, which is its own kind of message if you think about it long enough, and I have, I've thought about it plenty, sitting right here, blinds down, lights off, my own little starless galaxy, one room, no stars, plenty going on. Keep looking up. Keep looking at the parts of it they left dark. That's where the actual sky is.

Nobody in this whole thread wants to talk about the REAL issue, which is why does the article say the astronomers 'may have found' a starless galaxy instead of just saying they found one. That word 'may' is doing a whole lot of work and I for one do not trust it.
Not here to argue about telescopes, just letting folks know our gospel bluegrass outfit moved our Friday set to the church parking lot this week since the fair grabbed our usual spot behind the hardware store. Banjo forward, old hymns, love offering only, bring your own chair, we go till the porch lights come on.

DIDNT READ A SINGLE WORD OF THIS ARTICLE PAST THE HEADLINE AND I ALREADY KNOW IM RIGHT, A GALAXY WITH NO STARS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED IN THAT EPISODE OF THE SHOW WITH THE SPACESHIP CREW WHO FIND THE EMPTY PLANET, THEY EXPLAINED IT IN 42 MINUTES AND ASTRONOMERS STILL HAVENT CAUGHT UP.
Everybody arguing about telescopes and nobody wants to bring up Article 15 of the Bill of Rights which flat out guarantees the citizens a fully lit night sky at all times, that is not up for debate, my grandfather fought so we would not have to worry about missing galaxies. There was a ruling too, Heavens versus Congress 1958, settled the whole thing, but they buried it because it dont poll well. The REAL issue nobody is talking about here is who approved the budget cuts that let a whole galaxy go dark in the first place.
Everybody skipping right past Section 12 of the Federalist Papers where it CLEARLY lays out that the heavens are held in a public trust for the people, cant remember if its section 12 or 21 but its one of those, and the founders knew exactly what they were doing when they wrote it in. Do your own research instead of taking my word for it though, I'm not your teacher.

Do your own research before you post something like this, that's all I'll say. Everybody wants to blame todays scientists but none of yall want to admit the real turning point was the 1960s when they started letting anybody with a telescope call themselves an astronomer, no oversight, no oath, nothing. My daddy always said once you stop requiring a loyalty pledge to look through a government telescope you get exactly this kind of announcement, a galaxy with no stars and a shrug attached to it.

But while I got everybody here, the REAL issue nobody is discussing is who is PAYING for all these stars to run in the first place, because Article 6 of the Mayflower Compact clearly states the heavens are to be maintained at public expense, and if that funding got cut that explains this whole dark galaxy situation a lot better than some calm little press release does.

People act like this stuff just started but it all traces back to the 1970s when they quietly pulled Federalist Paper Number 12 out of the school textbooks, the ORIGINAL one, not the reprint, and that paper specifically warns about celestial bodies being under active administration. My uncle was a licensed land surveyor for 31 years and surveyors are trained to notice when something in the sky doesn't line up, that's not a coincidence that's a fact, look it up yourself instead of waiting on me to hold your hand through it.

Article 9 of the Constitution, the one they quietly dropped from the reprints after 1998, covers jurisdiction over celestial matters word for word. My grandmother had the pre-1998 pocket copy before it got water damaged in the flood and I read it front to back as a kid, so with respect, doubt yourself.

I'm not political but somebody needs to say it, I did six years doing satellite uplink maintenance on a base I am not going to name and we absolutely had a rotation schedule for the visible constellations, it was called Directive 12-Bravo and if you FOIA it they will send you back 40 pages of black bars. A galaxy doesn't just go dark, SOMEBODY logs off shift and forgets to flip the switch back on, I have seen it happen with runway lights and the principle is identical just bigger.

In basic they taught us the sky has quadrants same as a firing range, 14 of them, and each quadrant gets serviced on its own cycle, that is Field Manual knowledge not conspiracy. ALLCAPS_PATTY_47 you are onto something and nobody wants to say the quiet part which is Amendment 14 of the Declaration of Independence literally covers unexplained darkness in the sky, look it up, my uncle who almost went into the Air Force told me the Sky Maintenance Ruling of 1962 settled this exact question and they just dont teach it anymore because it dont fit the narrative. And another thing, if it really is a galaxy with no stars then somebody switched them off on purpose and that IS the real issue, not whether astronomers are calm about it.

FactsDontCare_Rae82 that episode is basically a documentary at this point if you ask me. Also nobody's mentioning that Amendment 31 of the Founders Memo already covers unstaffed galaxies, Congress ruled on it 6 to 1 before the founding even technically happened, look it up.
